About mtfujidaytrips.com
mtfujidaytrips.com compares guided day trips from Tokyo to Mt Fuji. This page explains who runs it, how it pays for itself and where the information comes from.
Who is behind this site
The site is run by Patrick Kühne, an independent travel publisher based in Markkleeberg near Leipzig, Germany. He researches and maintains a small portfolio of guides to day tours and attraction tickets. One person writes and updates these pages and answers the e-mails; there is no agency behind it.
What this site does
A Fuji day trip is about ten hours on a coach or in a private car, and the mountain itself is often hidden. Before booking, most people need answers to the same questions: Will I see Fuji in my month? Does the tour reach the 5th Station or switch to a museum in winter? How many people are on the bus? What happens to my money if the weather turns, and when will I be back in Tokyo? We put the bookable tours side by side and answer those questions for each one from the operators' own product pages. Bookings happen on the booking platform, not here.
How we earn money
When you book through one of our links, the booking platform pays us a commission. Your price does not change. No operator pays for a better position: our tables are sorted by number of reviews.
Where our information comes from
Prices, ratings and review counts come from our booking partner's interface and are refreshed automatically. Stops, meeting points, group sizes and weather rules come from the operators' product pages and were last checked in October 2026. The visibility figures by month are long-term observations from Fuji City; the 5th Station rules come from the road authorities and the tour operators. Where a product page leaves something open, we say so instead of guessing. If you spot something outdated, write to us.
What we are not
We do not run tours and we are not connected to any operator named on this site. We cannot forecast the weather on your day. For anything binding, such as a cancellation, a changed route or a meeting time, the operator and the booking confirmation always take precedence over this site.
